Our Mission
Founded by WBLS’ The Quiet Storm host Lenny Green over 20 years ago, Family Day was created to celebrate community, love, and togetherness. This year, Lenny Green partners with Shop-BOB Cares to expand the vision with family-friendly programming, local performers, artisans, free food, and vital community services like NYPD, FDNY, and health partners. Together, we honor single mothers with the Mama Green Award and offer a day of fun, education, and connection—all free to the public thanks to our generous supporters.
